A scarce WW2 double-sided cork dartboard sold on eBay for £435 including shipping. The reverse side is called 'Blitzkrieg Bombardment' and the maker was called 'ARP Supplies' on The Strand in London. Cracking item for a Civil Defence club.
There was an advert for the dartboard in the second issue of ARP & AFS Review in February 1940.

As a writer and part-time researcher on the history of the sport of darts, I can say the Blitzkrieg dartboard is a rare find. I have only seen two over the past twenty years. Unfortunately, I have not been able to establish the rules, and little, if any, information still exists. I have contacted the IWM and consulted a couple of WWII historians to try and gather as much information as I can for viewers of one of my dart websites. The clearest photo of an original WWII ‘Blitzkrieg Bombardment Dartboard is shown here. I have, however, graphically reproduced the dartboard for viewers to see, and if anyone has any more information, I would be grateful if they would drop me an email at my darts website. I like to keep history alive before it is lost for good.
